It was launched in the year 2009 and since then it has grown rapidly. It now enjoys a mammoth global support and participation.

This is where “World Heart Day” has been playing a crucial role in changing the scenario. This global platform raises awareness and encourages people to take action to reduce the burden of deaths from heart diseases.
The fact is undeniable – your heart health is the heart of all health. Give it some attention that it deserves. Believe it or not it’s easy to care for your heart. In fact a few easy and simple steps such as eating a healthy diet, quitting cigarette, cutting down on alcohol and regular exercise can improve heart health.

Consult your doctor; schedule an appointment to talk about heart health. It is indeed important to schedule regular check-ups with your doctor. Do not ignore regular checkups even if you are not sick. Partner with your health care team and doctor to set clear goals in order to improve heart health. Do not shy away from asking questions. Add exercise to your daily regime. We never get tired of saying that adding regular exercise to your daily regime will keep your heart strong. Start off by a 15 minutes morning walk three times a week, Increase the time and pace gradually.
